Suomen elokuvaohjaajaliiton hallitus on järkytyksellä seurannut Venäjän armeijan rikollista hyökkäyssotaa itsenäisen Ukrainan maaperällä.
Täysin oikeuttamaton väkivalta ja tuho aiheuttaa mittaamatonta kärsimystä ja uhkaa koko Euroopan vakautta. Olemme vaikuttuneita Ukrainan kansan urheudesta tämän katastrofin äärellä, ja etsimme keinoja tukea heidän ponnistuksiaan sekä yhdistyksenä että yksityisesti. Samoin tuemme kaikkia, jotka väkivallan uhasta tai heihin kohdistetusta väkivallasta huolimatta, yrittävät Venäjällä ja Valko-Venäjällä vaikuttaa hyökkäyksen pysäyttämiseksi.
Tutkimme keinoja, jolla jäsenistömme voi tukea erityisesti kollegoitamme, jotka dokumentoivat tapahtumia sota-alueella, jotta sotarikoksiin syyllistyneet voidaan aikanaan saatta vastuuseen teoistaan.

We Stand With Ukraine. SELO Association of Finnish Film Directors
The board of Association of Finninsh Film Directors SELO has been following the astounding and criminal attack of the Russian army on sovereign Ukraine.
This totally unjustified act of military violence is causing immense suffering and is threatening the stability of whole of Europe. We are very impressed by the courageousness of the Ukrainian people in the face of this disaster, and are looking for ways to support their efforts of defence both individually and as a union. We also want to express our support to all of those who under threat of violence and loss of freedom are working to stop this attack both in Russia and Belarus.
We are researching ways to support our Ukrainian colleagues who are documenting the events in the war zone, so that those committing war crimes can be in time be brought to justice.
